FIU Nursing had a good program in South Florida, which made me want to go there. Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to work in the medical field. I never knew exactly what I wanted to be until my senior year of high school. During my freshman year of college, my mom was hospitalized, and I saw the excellent care she received from nurses. That inspired me to become a nurse. The simulation labs were interesting, and I learned a lot because the labs were very lifelike. I had a lot of good practice because we got to practice for emergency responses. I had a professor who taught me to take everything one step at a time. I also had good people around me who were willing to help. I grew more after I graduated from FIU Nursing and was working in the field.
