I have been living in the US for 16 years, and I got my degree as a medical doctor in my country, Venezuela. I learned English when I came here, and I wanted to get back into the medical field as soon as I could. I heard that FIU had a special program for physicians. It was a good path for me, and it was a blessing. I had great teachers, and they were concerned about the students. One of my teachers worked very hard for the program to be open to physicians. I went back into the medical field, and it made me happy.
