I met a girl in one of my prerequisite classes who was a nursing major. I wasn't originally a nursing major, but she told me to give nursing a try. I did, and I loved it. My professor, Elizabeth Olafson, was a great and personable instructor. Although she was a leader, she was able to relate to where we were academically. We were yet to be nurses, so she was very realistic about her expectations for us. She was very easy to talk to about any concerns that we might have had. My advice to nursing students is to be adaptable and resilient. It's a tough program, but you will learn to save lives.
