Florida International University had good reviews, so I decided to attend. I also had a good relationship with veterans with my background in the United States Navy. Attending FIU with my background, experience, and knowledge helped me further my personal development so I could advance in the healthcare profession. I met a lot of other veterans who could relate to my stories, so I felt at home. The course was challenging, but the professors worked with me to improve my grade and help me learn. My time at FIU helped me be who I am today. The staff was accommodating and knowledgeable. I liked that they didn't treat me like I was a number; I was treated like a person. I felt special when I was at FIU, and it made me want to go back there to earn my advanced degree one day.
