Before I came to the United States, I had a family member who was very sick. I couldn't do anything for my uncle, and he passed away. I didn't want something like that to happen to anybody else, so I decided to go into nursing. I started with my associate in nursing at Miami Dade, and I went to FIU for my bachelor's degree. I went for my master's degree at Phoenix University, and I got my master's degree in healthcare administration. The setup and the way I was taught at FIU were really amazing. FIU was a great college, and I'm grateful to be one of the students who passed through there.
