I chose to go to FIU because it was close. I discovered that I wanted to go into mental health right away. FIU definitely had a hand in helping me explore that. Everyone there was really special and instrumental in my success. Dr. Gordon helped reinstate the Mental Health Program, and I'm very grateful for that. The bonds I formed with the other students make me smile. My peers helped give me strength. I'm still in touch with some of them.
