The camaraderie I had with my classmates at FIU's College of Nursing was great. I was going through school in my 40s, and I already had experience as a firefighter paramedic. I was able to help with clinicals thanks to my experience. I was working full-time while studying full-time, so I had a tough two years. I got through it, though, and I graduated with honors. My degree from FIU's College of Nursing has helped me a lot in my career, and it was a good foundation for my nursing education.
