Ronda L. Mims

One of the deans at FIU was instrumental in my being able to attend, as well as some of the teachers who worked under me at Miami-Dade County Public Schools. I was able to get my bachelor's degree from FIU. It was a good career choice that gave me freedom and the opportunity for financial gain. It also gave me the opportunity to work flexible hours as a single parent. I had to stay very engaged so that I could be on top of my game because FIU was very competitive. It was by no means a cakewalk.
