At the time, some friends and I decided to go to FIU because of the culture there. We had heard that the culture was good, so we decided to get our master's degrees there. It was a really fun time. I made a lot of great friends, and the professors were nice. The environment, campus, and all of the activities that were going on also stood out. All of those things made a great impact on my life. After graduation, I moved to California and worked in emergency medicine and anesthesia for seven years. I've since built my knowledge by getting more certifications and training at different hospitals, and my career path has been amazing so far. I am Haitian, and the melting-pot culture at FIU was the most enjoyable aspect of my time there.
