I heard about the ratings of FIU and all of the awards it had won. My son was a Panther, so I decided to go to the same school as my son. FIU was quite impressive, and I appreciated the ambiance of the school. The first time I walked on campus, it was welcoming to me. When I met the staff for the first time, they were friendly, and I knew that I would have a good experience there. The professors treated us like family members. I could go to them and talk one on one, and they listened to me. I will not forget how welcoming and forthcoming some of the professors were with the students. One of the things they instilled in us was to work with pride. I carry my degree with pride. My daughter is at FIU now, so we are a Panther family. When I drive past FIU and see all the billboards, it makes me happy. I went to a good school.
