I became a nurse through the FIU College of Nursing because I really wanted to help people, and I saw how FIU served its community. It was the perfect place to pursue nursing. Dr. Monica Flowers was my clinical instructor. Dr. Maria Olenick and Dr. Delgado also stood out. They were all great professors. They all helped me win scholarships and were great resources. The simulation lab really helped with scenarios of patient care and emergency situations. My clinical experience was really good. I was really prepared for the licensure exam. I met my best friend in nursing school. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. We did the Relay for Life for cancer, and I chopped my hair off in support. That's my favorite memory from nursing school.
